One of B.C.'s best small towns is this dreamy spot, with quaint streets, a historic downtown, and charm all around. It's a low-key spot that packs in a lot to do, and all the small-town vibes you could want this fall.

A getaway here involves wandering around the picturesque streets of the town, popping in and out of local shops. Then you can grab a coffee from one of the cozy cafes, and sip it in the town's gazebo (which looks like it's been plucked from the set of a Hallmark movie). Adventurers won't be disappointed here either. Surrounding the little town are endless hiking trails, sparkling lakes, and mountain vistas.

This is Revelstoke, ranked by Zoocasa as one of the best small towns in B.C. With summer coming to a close and a crisp fall air trickling in, this spot is especially enticing for a getaway.

The small town is situated in the interior of the province, renowned for its untouched wilderness and breathtaking beauty. It's big mountains and sprawling nature here – and Revelstoke is nestled among it all.

Fall is an especially beautiful time to visit, as the temperatures drop and the valley lights up with colour. September here is perfect for hiking and alpine activities if you want to get truly unparalleled views.

In October, alpine trails start to close, but there's still lots of hiking to be had at lower elevations. Drive 30 minutes from town and you'll find Begbie Falls and Sutherland Falls — two spectacular hidden waterfalls that will wow you.

The national parks here call for a visit before the snow takes over, and Glacier National Park boasts plenty of striking lookouts. You can also do the stunning drive up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway.

Lower down, you can walk into the lush rainforest (this area is home to one of the world's only inland temperate rainforests) on trails like Giant Cedars Boardwalk.

While days out adventuring are fun, there's something about this cozy town that makes you want to never leave.

The local offerings are plentiful and impressive, but nothing beats grabbing a pint and sipping on a patio in town. There are a couple of craft breweries here to check out with mountain-town vibes, and Rumpus Beer Company is a go-to.

Wandering around town is fun on its own, too, with a quaint plaza and lots of shops to check out. There's also a farmers' market on First Street on Saturdays until mid-October, and it's the perfect way to see local artisans and makers.

After exploring and soaking in small-town feels, catch a movie at the heritage cinema in town. Roxy Theatre has a one-of-a-kind vibe and is the perfect way to end a day here.

If you can't make it to Revelstoke by the end of fall, don't worry.

Winter is just as magical here, with all the picture-perfect vibes covered in a fresh layer of snow and legendary skiing as the main draw.
