If you've watched Netflix's Virgin River then you know that B.C.'s landscape is basically a main character. The show showcases some of the most beautiful parts of the province, and it's filmed all around it.

The drama series starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson is coming back for a sixth season on December 19, so fans can settle back into the cozy fictional town of Virgin River.

Although the dreamy setting isn't a real place, the backdrop very much is. Fans can visit the Virgin River sets all around B.C., and won't be disappointed by the stunning views and incredible nature.

If you want to get into the mood ahead of the upcoming season, then have a look at these Virgin River filming locations in B.C.

Deer Lake

Deer Lake in Burnaby is the backdrop for the community picnic back in season 2 and is where Paige's food truck is — which true fans will recognize.

The area is beautiful, with scenic trails and lots of wildlife. You can even tent out rowboats and go out onto the same lake that Denny and Lizzie did.

The Watershed Grill

Want to walk into Jack's bar? Well, you can here.

The Watershed Grill is in Brackendale, B.C. and the exterior of it is actually Jack's Bar in the show. Although the interior is different going here will transport you into the show. Plus you can walk along the river here after dinner and feel like Jack and Mel — because a lot of their scenes were filmed here.

Klahanie Campground

A lot of the show was filmed in and around Squamish, and this campground right across from the beautiful Shannon Falls is in it too. In the show, it's The Fitches Bed and Breakfast, but you might not recognize it at first because of some digitally altered parts.

The area here is truly stunning though and worth exploring.

Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery

This adorable farm is the perfect place to spend a day outdoors, and Virgin River fans will love it. You might remember Preacher and Julia going here and tasting some wine.

It's called Myrtle Farms in the show, but the family-owned farm is just as magical in person.

Murdo Frazer Park

Mel's Cabin is a staple in this show and pretty adorable in real life.

Although the inside of the cabin in the show is a set, the outside is filmed at this spot in North Vancouver. It gives all the cozy log cabin vibes you're looking for this winter.

Smoke Bluffs Park

Another Squamish location, this is where Jack almost falls while rock climbing in the show.

The towering cliffs are super recognizable, and absolutely beautiful in person. There are tons of trails here to check out, and you can even try out mountain climbing.

These are just some of the key locations from the show, but much of the scenery shots and footage is from all around B.C. Just driving throughout with views of the rivers and mountains will make you feel like you're in the show.
