If waking up to turquoise water and charming streets sounds like your kind of vibe, this Ontario small town might be your dream destination. With soft, sandy shores, quaint shops and cozy cafes, it's a beautiful spot to call home.

We asked readers on Narcity Canada's Facebook page for their recommendations on the best places to live in Ontario. The post received hundreds of comments, and this picturesque beach town was among the suggestions.

Goderich is a charming village perched along the shores of Lake Huron. It's known as "Canada's prettiest town," so it's no surprise that locals consider it a desirable place to live.

The small but charming downtown is lined with local boutiques and eateries. While it may not have the bustling shopping scene of a big city, it offers all the essentials you need.

According to the town's website, "Goderich is a growing community and the largest urban community in Huron County" and offers "quality childcare, healthcare, top-notch schools, state-of-the-art recreation, dozens of active community and sporting groups/service clubs, as well as government and community services" and more.

A significant highlight of the town is its three beaches. During the summer, you can stroll along the waterfront, take a dip in the sparkling waves and relax on sandy shores.

Winters often bring lots of snow and chilly temperatures to the area, but they also give the town a cozy, charming vibe.

If you're considering a move and enjoy a slower pace of life, Goderich is worth checking out.
