2 Calgary Flight Passengers Have Been Slapped With $1,000 Fines For Refusing To Wear Mask

Some people aren’t following the COVID-19 flight rules which has lead to two Calgary flight passengers being slapped with hefty fines. 

Transport Canada announced that these two individuals were both fined after they didn't follow multiple directions from aircrew to wear proper face coverings.

The amount of each fine issued.

The first incident took place on Sunday, June 14 on a WestJet flight from Calgary to Waterloo, Ontario. 

The second incident was on Tuesday, July 7 on a WestJet flight from Vancouver to Calgary. 

While Transport Canada has stated that all travellers must wear face coverings, some exemptions do apply.
