If you've ever seen someone entering a fancy airport lounge and wondered what was inside or how you could get into the seemingly VIP space, we've got the scoop for you. Elevation Lounge is the flagship WestJet lounge at the Calgary International Airport.

Inside the lounge, you'll find amazing food, delicious drinks, places to lounge, places to work, full-on boardrooms for meetings, and so much more. Here's the best part: anyone can get in. There's a list of people who can get in for free with specific boarding passes or memberships, but people who are flying on any airline can actually pay to get access, too.

How to get into the Elevation Lounge

WestJet told Narcity in an email that the following people can get complimentary access to the lounge:

  • WestJet Rewards Platinum, Gold and Silver members
  • Guests travelling in the Business cabin of the WestJet Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners
  • "Delta Sky Miles® members with Diamond, Platinum or Gold Medallion status travelling on an itinerary that includes a segment between Canada and the US operated by Delta and/or WestJet"
  • People with Delta One tickets when Calgary is part of their same-day international itinerary
  • Priority Pass, LoungeKey, LOUNGE CLUB and Diners Club members
If you don't fall under one of those categories, don't you worry, everyone can access the lounge for a fee, even people travelling on airlines other than WestJet.

It's important to note that anyone who's under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult to enter.

If you are flying with WestJet, it costs $59 for an adult to enter the lounge. If you're travelling with any other airline, it's $65.

You will need to present a boarding pass for a flight leaving within three hours and the maximum stay in the Elevation Lounge is three hours.

What lies inside

Once you've entered the Elevation Lounge, you'll be greeted by a cozy fireplace, a ton of comfortable chairs and places to relax, and even a place to eat and drink that looks like a fancy supper club.

Food, drinks (including alcoholic beverages) are included in your entrance fee. The food looks seriously five-star and they even have local craft beer for you to sip on.

If you're tired from travelling, there are daybeds for you to nap on. There are even private showers you can book to freshen up.

If you're a digital nomad, you can sit in one of the many working spaces or even book a meeting room or boardroom to connect with colleagues. There's truly nothing fancier than booking a meeting in an airport lounge.

There's also unlimited Wi-Fi and a dedicated family space to hang out in if you're travelling with kids. So, whether you're there to relax, meet, focus, or kick back with a drink in hand, the Elevation Lounge has got you covered.
