Located on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, Collingwood is roughly a two-hour drive from Toronto and makes for a charming escape filled with small-town charm and outdoor adventure.
The town has a rich history shaped by industries including shipbuilding, agriculture and the railway. Today, remnants of that past can still be found throughout its lively downtown.

The town is also home to Theatre Collingwood, while history enthusiasts can visit the Craigleith Heritage Depot to learn more about the area's past.
For another dose of local history, you can explore the Collingwood Museum, located in the town's historic railway station.
If you'd rather spend the day outside, Collingwood has more than 60 kilometres of trails to discover, while the nearby Scenic Caves Nature Adventures offers forest walks, caves and a suspension bridge high above the treetops.
The waterfront is also worth exploring, especially the Collingwood Harbour and Millennium Park, where you can enjoy views of the bay and stroll along the shoreline.
