Do you like working with cars? Well, here is your chance because the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is hiring fleet assistants.

What is the job?

CSIS is currently looking for fleet assistants to join their team. This entry-level position will see to it that you take on a bunch of different jobs in one.

Ultimately the role will consist of working with vehicles. This means making sure all cars are in tip-top shape by testing and inspecting them.

Applicants will also have to complete car audits such as information pertaining to odometer readings, gas bills and repair costs. The information collected will have to be logged into a computer application too. 

If this job is for you, you will also be expected to shuttle vehicles from the office to repair houses.

Additionally, the job entails doing roadside assistance like changing tires, jumping car batteries and more.

What are the requirements?

In order to snag one of these positions, all applicants must be Canadian citizens, have a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.  

Candidates should also be able to lift, carry and push a minimum of 45 pounds. You would also need to work outside of regular hours on some occasions. 

You also need at least one year of driving experience and two years of clerical experience including planning, organizing and coordinating activities.

Employers will also want you to have some experience working with managers and clients.

The final requirement for the job is to get an "Enhanced Top Secret security clearance," which will involve a security interview, a polygraph and a background check.

How much does the role pay?

Successful applicants for this entry-level role can expect to make between $43,860 and $53,350. 

The role may last up to one year or be a permanent position.*

Jobs are being offered in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal.
