Some parts of the country are looking at a much warmer holiday than normal this year, according to Canada's Christmas Day forecast.

For anyone on the East Coast who has been dreaming of a white Christmas, this isn't the year because the jet stream is drawing up moisture and warm temperatures from down south.

14 C Halifax's daytime high on December 25

Along with the jet stream bringing warmth, there's also a low-pressure system moving across Quebec that will heat things up.

Eastern Quebec and Atlantic Canada are on track to break temperature records on Christmas and even on Boxing Day, according to The Weather Network.

On December 25, Halifax and Fredericton are in for a balmy 14 C. Other areas in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick will see temperatures above 10 C.

Parts of the Eastern Townships in Quebec might even be as warm as 16 C and Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley could reach 17 C early on Saturday morning.

To the south, a cold front is moving across Florida on Christmas which will plunge parts of the state below freezing with Miami only expected to reach 8 C, TWN reports.

Some Florida cities will be colder than 10 C on Boxing Day.
