Ryan Reynolds' Birthday Is Being Celebrated With A Reminder Of One Of His Most Epic Pranks

Happy birthday, Ryan! 🇨🇦

Canada's very own Ryan Reynolds has just turned 47 and he's being sent so many well wishes.

On Monday, October 23, the Deadpool actor shared a bunch of the kind messages he received on his Instagram story, alongside some trolling ones too.

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel posted a birthday message for the Canadian along with a picture of Will Ferrell holding a sign that says "Jimmy Kimmel Live! Ryan Reynolds," and while that may seem confusing, it all has to do with a prank.

Back in 2021, Reynolds was set to appear on Kimmel's show, while Ferrell was supposed to be on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on the same night.

Instead of sticking to that plan, the two actors swapped shows, with Reynolds appearing on Fallon and Ferrell appearing on Kimmel.

The two hosts were completely and visibly taken aback by the switch-up in guests and some absolute gold ensued.

When asked about his wife and kids, Ferrell pretended to be Reynolda and said that Blake Lively was doing well and that their young ones dressed up as "Deadpool, Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada and Deadpool" for Halloween.

As for Reynolds, he took the opportunity on Fallon to remind Americans that they can't move to Canada when they get mad at whatever is going on in the U.S.

"As a Canadian, I'm sorry, but no, you can't," Reynolds said. "I know we're friendly but Canada's not your safe house. I mean, we barely let Canadians into Canada anymore."

"So, please, pick somewhere else," he continued, adding that Finland is "really lovely."

Given that Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be gearing up for press to promote Deadpool, maybe we'll get another one of these swaps in the future?

Happy birthday, Ryan!
