Toronto's Massive Twinkling Tree Is Coming Back This Year But Not Like We're Used To

The city's iconic 108-foot tree is returning! 🎄

We may be enjoying a scaled-back version of the holidays this year, but all is not lost.

Toronto’s Eaton Centre Christmas tree is coming back but the ceremony will be different than what we're used to.

CF Eaton Centre general manager Sheila Jennings told Narcity that the iconic 108-foot-tall tree is "absolutely" returning this year, but we won't be gathering in person to see it light up for the season.

Jennings added that the tree lighting ceremony will likely be filmed this year to avoid a large crowd gathering.

There is no set date for the tree at this time, but those details should be coming soon.

Regardless, we'll still get to do our holiday shopping under the warm glow of the giant twinkling tree this year.

So if you need a little holiday cheer this season, you know where to go.

And if you’re feeling bummed about the Christmas Market cancellation, don’t forget to check out Flatiron’s Christmas Market, where the spirit of the holiday season is thriving.
