An important COVID-19 update from the City of Toronto was disrupted this week by Mayor John Tory's new blowout hairdo.

The mayor had all eyes on him on Wednesday with his voluminous new locks.

Of course, it didn't take long for Twitter to take notice of Tory's new look, as his hair was standing taller than usual.

The mayor later addressed his 'do during an interview on NEWSTALK 1010.

When the mayor was asked about his voluminous locks, he didn't hold anything back about his new routine.

"[My wife] got a new Dyson hairdryer for Christmas from our kids, and so I used it once to dry my hair," Tory told The Rush.

"It blew my hair maybe two and a half feet tall," he continued.

Tory even joked that there was "probably nothing more important" than his hair.
