Protecting the health and wellbeing of Ontarians will always remain our top priority.

Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier & Minister of Health

Restaurants, bars, and other places serving food and drinks will also have to stop selling alcohol after 11 p.m.

These new rules will be put in place at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, September 26.

"On the advice of Ontario's public health officials, we are moving forward with these measures to help keep Ontarians safe by limiting the potential for exposure in locations where the current risk of transmission is higher, and to avoid future lockdowns," stated Elliott.

Ontario saw a rapid rise in new COVID-19 cases this month.

Social gatherings amongst millennials have reportedly been a cause of community spread in recent weeks.

All strip clubs will also be forced to close down in the province.
