If you're planning a trip to B.C. or just looking for a fun adventure, hiking in one of the province's most beautiful parks should go on your to-do list.

We asked readers to tell us what the best provincial park in B.C. is and a spot near Vancouver, which offers picturesque views of the mountains, came out as the clear winner.

In the poll sent out on Instagram, X and YouTube, Golden Ears Provincial Park took the top spot as the best provincial park.

Golden Ears is located in Maple Ridge, which is about an hour away from Vancouver.

As one of B.C.'s largest parks, it's a great spot for all sorts of activities.

Golden Ears has three large campgrounds and horseback riding options.

It also has a gruelling 22-kilometre hike, but the breathtaking views of the rugged mountains are worth the trek.

AllTrails said the hike takes about eight hours to complete so many hikers camp at the top to rest and enjoy the scenery.

If you do go, make sure you pack the necessities like food, water, proper equipment, bear spray and a first-aid kit.

Another incredible feature of this B.C. park is the stunning lake that's there.

Alouette Lake is a beautiful turquoise body of water popular for swimming, windsurfing, boating, kayaking and fishing.

With all the fun things you can do at Golden Ears, it's no wonder it's a popular park with locals.

So whether you plan on camping on the mountain or making it a day trip, you won't be disappointed with your trip to this provincial park.
