Vancouver is home to some of the best restaurants in Canada, and one spot was put under the spotlight in a recent ranking of the best Italian restaurants in the world.

This Italian restaurant in Vancouver, known for its mouthwatering menu and award-winning Chef, has made it onto the 50 Top Italy guide of the best Italian restaurants in the world for 2025.

The guide highlights standout Italian food spots from around the world — both in and outside of Italy — with 350 inspectors travelling around to find the best eats.

Vancouver's Cioppino's Mediterranean Grill & Enoteca took the 42nd spot on the ranking. It was recognized for its legendary chef and founder Pino Posteraro and use of authentic ingredients, like truffles, that stand out on the menu.

Cioppino's is a local favourite for good reason and is often visited by some big-name celebs when they're in town. Drake has been seen dining out here, and Stanley Tucci even shouted it out in his book, as a favourite of his.

The Italian-Mediterranean flavours at Cioppino's make for some of the best dishes in the city, from the classic pasta plates to the fresh seafood offerings.

Chef Pino is the mastermind behind the restaurant. Born in Italy, he came to Canada first to work for his brother at his restaurant. Then he went back to Europe to learn more before returning to Canada and opening Ciopinno's in 1999.

It's now cemented itself as one of the top fine dining restaurants in the city and is known on a global scale.

If you're in Vancouver and haven't tried Cioppino's, book that reservation ASAP.
