This legendary road trip in Alberta has glistening lakes, endless mountain views, wildlife spottings, and beauty around every winding turn. It's a bucketlist adventure for many, showcasing some of the most spectacular nature that Canada has to offer.

On a recent ranking from Insure and Go, the number of attractions per mile on some of the world's most famous road trips were analyzed. Alberta's Icefields Parkway came in at the 13th spot with an average of 4.6 attractions per 10 miles.

While the Icefields Parkway was beaten out by some other famous drives, there's something uniquely beautiful about the attractions that it has to offer. It's not your everyday scenery along the road here, it's ancient glaciers, lakes that shine bright with a shocking blue color, and waterfalls cascading off cliffsides.

While you'll be tempted to stop every few minutes to snap a photo, there are some attractions here you can't miss.

Bow Lake is one of those places you see all over your feed, but nothing compares to taking in the view in person.

The Weeping Wall is another stop that feels otherworldly, touring over you at over 100 meters high with water cascading down it — giving it its name.

Big Hill & Big Bend is one of the more famous sections of the road, as the pavement hugs the mountain wall and you get a stunning view of the river and valley before. Then there's the Columbia Icefield where you can see miles of glaciers span the area, and the Glacier Sky Walk where you can walk over the Sunwapta Valley.

There are countless other stops along the way, each more stunning than the last. Make you you carve out a good chunk of time for this road trip because you'll need it.
