If you entered the Alberta vaccine lottery, you could be $1 million richer on Thursday, July 1. For the first of the three $1M dollar draws, any Albertan who's received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose was able to enter.

Entries are now closed and the winner will be randomly selected on July 1, the first day of Stage 3 of the province's reopening plan.

If you're that lucky someone, you'll be contacted by Alberta Health via the phone number or email address you provided when you entered.

You'll be given five days from the day that Alberta Health first tries to reach you. Within those five days, you need to confirm that you want to claim your prize and provide proof of your vaccination.

"If the winner does not notify they wish to accept their prize and provide the necessary verification records to Alberta Health within the above noted 5 day claim period, or the winner declines its prize, or fails to provide the information required to verify their eligibility, the prize shall be forfeited and the Government of Alberta may re-draw the prize," the guidelines state.
