On Tuesday, March 16, Quebec-based Medicago announced that they will be moving into Phase 3 of clinical testing of their plant-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate. 

Medicago's COVID-19 vaccine candidate is "plant-derived," and, as it moves to late-stage clinical testing, 30,000 people will be able to volunteer for the trials.
