The Sunshine State has no shortage of beautiful, pristine beaches to escape to all year round. However, there is one beach in the heart of the east coast that's a favorite of locals. This Florida beach, Canaveral National Seashore, is a place that brings out all of the end-of-summer vibes for beachgoers.

Situated on the east coast, Canaveral National Seashore is a perfect spot for locals and tourists alike who need a break from urban life.

The Seashore is 24 miles long, with most of the park sitting within the Mosquito Lagoon, which is one of the most diverse estuaries within North America.

This stretch of beach is devoid of the development that is found at other beaches around the state, giving visitors a chance to be at one with the nature surrounding them.

Another aspect that makes this beach such a gem is that it sits within eyeshot of the Kennedy Space Center, which you can find just south of the Seashore.

Being so close to the launch pad, Canaveral National Seashore is a prime spot to watch the shuttles launch into the reaches of outer space. There's even a dedicated space at the beach to catch the launches.

A hidden gem of the shore is Playalinda Beach, which will make you feel as if you're on your own private beach. The grassy dunes and rolling waves are a great place for those who want to sunbathe or get away from the crowds.

You can also hike Castle Windy Trail, a trail that will wind you through lush sable palms and oak trees and bring you right into Mosquito Lagoon.

You can soak in the last of those end of summer vibes with tropical scenes, turquoise blue waters, and the sunny sands of Canaveral National Seashore.
