All Of Canada’s Disney Stores Have Closed Forever But There Are Still Ways To Get Mickey Merch

All Canadian Disney stores have shut down AND there's no Canadian website. 🥺

Goodbye, Mickey. All physical Disney Stores in Canada have officially closed their doors for good and there's even more bad news for those hoping to shop for magic merchandise online.

The shopDisney website has confirmed that there are no Disney Store locations left in Canada, as per the company's wider plan to shutter in-person shops across North America.

Stores in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario closed their doors for good in August 2021, following the permanent closure of locations in B.C.

While there were a number of locations remaining in the GTA with no official closing date, the Disney Store locator says these spots have since closed, too.

The remaining North American locations are in the United States, in places like California, Florida, New York and Washington, among others.

Is there a Disney Store website for Canada?

The closures leave Canadian Disney fans with fewer options to get their Mickey fill, particularly as the Disney Store doesn't have a Canadian e-commerce operation right now.

Canadian shoppers are able to use the American shopDisney website to order, although items are sold in U.S. dollars and shipping costs to Canada may be higher. All related duty, tax and customs fees must also be covered by the buyer.

Additionally, not all items on the website qualify for shipping to Canada.

Those hoping to have their pick of Disney merchandise may have to cross the border to find it. That said, a third of North American physical stores have been closed, which means it's worth double-checking if your closest American shop still exists.

Fortunately, travel rules at the Canada-U.S. border are getting simpler, so taking an international trip is a little easier than it was.
