11 Famous Faces You Can Spot Hanging Around Ontario This Summer

If you've always dreamed of bumping into one of your favourite celebs on the streets of Toronto or elsewhere in Ontario, this summer might be your golden ticket.

Nearly a dozen big-name stars are filming in the province right now, which means you have at least a small chance of bumping into one of them during a morning Starbucks run or a night out.

But, it's helpful to know who to keep your eyes peeled for, and we've got the scoop.

Mila Kunis

The former That '70s Show star is currently working on her new film The Luckiest Girl Alive in the 6ix. Kunis, who was recently spotted filming inside Toronto Asian fusion restaurant Lee, was also the centre of a casting call for the movie which sought extras to join the shoot this summer.

While casting was reportedly said to have ended on July 30, residents have still been spotting the star filming around the 6ix this August.

Daisy Ridley

The Star Wars star has been spotted filming in Toronto for the upcoming thriller The Marsh King's Daughter, which is based on the novel of the same name by Karen Dionne.

The City reports that filming was set to wrap up in early August, yet videos of her filming are still appearing online.

Jeremy Renner

Yes, Hawkeye himself is in the GTA this summer filming. The Avengers star is shooting the Mayor Of Kingstown, a new series that will be filming in the city until the end of September.

Julia Stiles

The iconic 2000s movie star will be in northern Ontario this summer to film The Lake, an Amazon Original comedy series that is set in cottage country. According to Deadline, the show is part of Prime Video's recent investment in Canadian content. The show is set to finish filming in September.

John Cleese

The British funnyman, best known for being a member of Monty Python, took to Twitter earlier this week to ask Muskoka residents for help locking down a property to rent in the area while shooting a new film. However, the word is not out on what exactly he is filming yet.

Madison Shamoun

The Blackish star will be joining Julia Stiles in northern Ontario as one of the stars of The Lake, so keep your eyes peeled if you're in the area.
