An Ontario lottery winner was so stunned to learn he had hit the big time that he could barely react.

According to OLG, Burlington resident Patrick Cychner won a whopping $100,000 after matching six out of seven Encore numbers during the January 12, 2022, LOTTO 6/49 draw.

The 31-year-old, who works as a programmer, was technically a two-time winner thanks to scoring an additional $12 on his other Lotto 6/49 and Encore selections.

Cychner discovered his big win after receiving an email from OLG, which will probably go down as the best tab he'll ever open.

"I logged into my OLG.ca account to see what I won, and I was speechless for a sold 10 minutes," he gushed while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto collecting his winnings.

As for what his family thought of his newfound fortune, well, they were understandably skeptical.

"My parents still don't believe me," he joked.

The millennial winner plans to use his prize to put a down payment on a house and do some travelling.

He's not the only Ontario lottery winner to use the money for a house

Burlington resident Arvind Rakesh Kasturi found out he won $100,000 at 4 a.m. and wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not.

"I received an email at 4:30 a.m. and didn't know if I was dreaming or not, so I put my phone away," Kasturi said.

Once the win became more of a reality, the 33-year-old father plans to put the funds towards purchasing a home.
