This little Alberta village tucked away in a stunning park was just named among the best spots in the world for a lake vacation. With summer incoming there's no better way to enjoy the season than out on the shores of a sparkling lake.

It can't get much better than Lake Louise, and the new list proves it. The Michelin Guide has released its list of "15 Best Lake Vacations in the World With MICHELIN-Worthy Stays & Dining," and a couple of Canadian destinations made the cut.

While Nita Lake in Whistler took the top spot, the glistening blue lake of Lake Louise was featured too.

The small village of Lake Louise is a less crowded spot to getaway too than the nearby town of Banff, but offers the same incredible mountain views and nature of Banff National Park.

Within the community there's restaurants and shops, but the real intrigue here is the picturesque lake.

The glacier-fed lake is chilly, but has a turquoise hue that makes it striking. You can go canoeing on the calm waters in the summer and soak in the view of the surrounding mountain peaks. You can also opt for hiking one of the many trails around Lake Louise.

As for where to stay, the ranking shouted out the legendary Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise that's perched on the edge of the lake. It's a landmark of the area and makes for a luxurious stay, as a MICHELIN Key-awarded chateau.

Think relaxing by the lake in a spa, or having dinner with a view of one of Canada's most stunning natural wonders.

If you want an escape into the mountains with lake fun, you won't be disappointed here.
