The White House Posted A Trudeau & Biden Meme Showing Just How Much Has Changed

The duo have come pretty far! 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Managing Editor, Canada

What a journey! The White House just shared a meme about Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden and it shows just how far the duo have come together.

On February 24, a day after their first face-to-face meeting as leaders, the White House official Twitter page shared two photos of them together.

Using the trending “How it started vs. How it's going” meme format, the images showed Biden and Trudeau together before he became the United States president and after.

In the first image, showing “how it started,” they can be seen laughing and walking together.

It was taken before the COVID-19 pandemic and before Joe Biden was elected president. It also came before all of the Trump election drama and the deadly riots earlier this year.

The second picture, which indicates “how it’s going,” shows the two leaders having a virtual meeting for the first time post-election.

While the Canadian PM and the American president would usually attend their first official meeting in-person, the COVID-19 pandemic means they were forced to meet digitally, instead.

After the meeting, both leaders had plenty of nice words to say about one another, with Biden even busting out a little French to impress his Canadian counterpart.

Recently, Justin Trudeau upped his meme-game when he used a viral image of Bernie Sanders at Biden’s inauguration to share a COVID-19 message.
