Prices are expected to rise on Wednesday and Thursday!

Ontario Editor

If you fill up your tank this week, you might notice your bill looks higher than usual. Ontario gas prices are set to spike and will reach the highest numbers we've seen in two years.

Dan McTeague, gas analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, states that prices will rise by $0.01 per litre on Wednesday and another $0.02 on Thursday.

This will bring gas prices up to $1.329 per litre across the Greater Toronto Area.

Other parts of Ontario, including London, Ottawa, Windsor and Sudbury will also see this hike.

According to GasBuddy, these prices will be the highest that the province has seen in over two years. However, we did see higher prices in May of 2018 when gas reached around $1.337 per litre.
