An Ontario driver is facing a slew of charges after being caught driving illegally twice within the same hour.

According to York Regional Police, officers initially stopped a vehicle travelling 115 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone on August 5 near Leslie Street and 19th Avenue in Richmond Hill.

As a result, the 59-year-old male driver was charged with Stunt and Speeding and issued a seven-day suspension; their vehicle was also impounded for 14 days.

After being charged, the driver left the scene with a friend. However, less than half an hour later, the same individual was pulled over by police again.

"At 1055hrs same driver observed driving a vehicle at the LCBO at Yonge Street/Stouffville Rd and stopped by officers who were monitoring drivers at this location," YRP told Narcity.

"Driver arrested and charged with Drive Suspended and second vehicle impounded for 7 days. Police issued the same court date for driver and provided a ride home," the statement added.
