It's the most wonderful news of the year! This iconic Toronto Christmas market is officially returning and you can step into a glittering winter wonderland.

The Distillery Winter Village, Canada's "most magical outdoor holiday shopping and dining experience," will transform the Distillery District into a Christmas paradise once more.

The dazzling event, which was named one of the best Christmas Markets in the world, is launching on November 16, 2023 and will run seven days a week (except for Christmas Day) until the New Year.

Sponsored by Parfums Christian Dior, the Winter Village is bringing back some beloved attractions as well as a few new experiences for visitors to enjoy.

"The Distillery Winter Village is a picture-perfect holiday experience where friends and family gather to take-in the timeless romance and nostalgia of the holidays, stroll the cobblestone streets under the canopy lights, enjoy delicious food and drink, and shop our one-of-a-kind shops and vendor cabins," Rik Ocvirk, Vice President, The Distillery Restaurants Corp and Director, Experiences and Events, The Distillery Historic District said in a press release.

You can visit the quaint vendor cabins brimming with festive goods, listen to the carollers, meet Santa and snap some photos at the twinkling installations including a new photo op for dogs.

The Distillery Winter Village will have a new candy cane forest to explore as well as a new Feliz Navidad bar where you can indulge in traditional Mexican flavours.

The tree lighting ceremony is taking place on November 16 at 6 p.m. and will feature a 56-foot-tall Silver Fir Christmas Tree in Trinity Square — the tallest tree the Distillery Winter Village has ever had.

This year, the event is launching a three-tier ticketing system in response to visitor feedback. The options include General Admission ($15); Flex, which allows you to change your ticket up to two times ($18); and Express Gate Entry, which allows you to skip the line and enter via Express Entry sign ($30).

Tickets are already available online and are required Fridays to Sundays starting at 4:00 p.m., with some exceptions, as well as for the tree lighting ceremony.

The full 2023 Distillery Winter Village program will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
